Team from Recsalog is here to start off with the joint venture between GSA and Recsalog. The president and a technical assistant from Recsalog arrived on Sunday 18, 2008. The main focus of this trip is on advanced training of using the new logging equipment. 

MAY, 2008 
GSA has taken up integrated geotechnical, geophysical and Hydrogeological investigations in Mehar field of PETRONAS in Sindh Province. The project is estimated to begin in 3rd week of May, 2008 with an estimated completion time of 6 weeks. Mehar concession is operated by Petronas Carigalli of Malaysia and is a gas-condensate field. Mehar field is going to have 11 gas production wells with roads, trunk lines, manifolds and a central GAS processing facility. 

MAY, 2008 
GSA and Recsalog recently came into a joint venture. Recsalog an Internationally known logging manufacturer and tester with GSA shall jointly provide advanced services in Borehole Geophysical logging. The services are to be provided on an international scale. The officials from Recsalog shall be visiting in the 3 week of May, 2008 with the first project to start in the upcoming month of June, 2008.

The Centaurus consists of 6.59 acres of architectural brilliance in the heart of Islamabad - Pakistan. It is under construction on the most expensive plot in the history of Pakistan and designed by ATKINS, which has a solid reputation in the creation of stunning buildings like the awe inspiring Burj-ul-Arab, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Twisting Tower, 21st Century tower etc. The Centaurus is a living day wonder. The Centaurus consists of 7 Star Hotel, Corporate Complex, Two Residential Towers and International Standard Shopping Mall. It can bear up to 9.5 Magnitude Earth Quake and will be completed by 2010. 

GSA is proud to be part of this architectural brilliance. In the first week of May, 2008 GSA is to perform Transient Dynamic Response test and Cross-hole Sonic Logging at the Centaurus site. 

APRIL, 2008 
The GSA team is in SPAT GAH & PALAS valley for Seismic Survey for the Hydropower Project which is estimated to be completed in December, 2008. Palas Valley is the left bank tributaries of Indus River in Kohistan District, NWFP. The confluence of Chor nullah (Palas Valley) is located 12 km upstream of Patan town. The project is located 335 km from Islamabad whereas Spat Gah is the left bank tributaries of Indus River in Kohistan District, NWFP. The confluence of Spat Gah is located 8 km downstream of Dasu town, 35 km up stream of Patan town. The project is located 365 km from Islamabad.

MARCH, 2008 
Geophysical borehole loggings for coal exploration in Sindh for more than 35 wells were completed in March.

GSA is going to do Seismic Refraction Survey in SPAT GAH and PALAS VALLEY for a joint venture of ACE, Pakistan and POYERY, Germany. This survey is being conducted for further construction in the mentioned areas. The project is aimed to start in the upcoming month of April with a completion period of 8-10 weeks.

The President of Recsalog made a 2 days visit to GeoScience Associates for negotiations on bringing more advanced methods in Borehole Geophysical Logging in Pakistan.
